Facial Acupuncture

Facial acupuncture is a natural way to care for your skin without the use of harsh chemicals and invasive procedures. It can improve the appearance and elasticity of your skin. The treatment starts with a facial cleanse, acupuncture on the face and body, and finishes with a bespoke oil blend facial massage. By treating your body with acupuncture, we aim to work from the inside out, addressing health and wellbeing.

What is it good for? Cosmetic acupuncture aims to improve the appearance and the elasticity of the face, encouraging collagen production and increasing blood flow. If you’re looking for a gentle and natural way to take care of your skin, facial acupuncture is a great option. As well as treating the face, as a traditional acupuncture treatment it assesses the health of the whole body and addresses both.

What happens during a treatment? The treatment begins with a facial cleanse. Acupuncture points are placed around the body, chosen to enhance the facial treatment and based upon your own personal consultation. Treatment then begins on the face, with needles paced strategically on the head, forehead and eyebrows, cheeks and jaw, with a focus on lifting the skin and targeting underlying muscles. Small intradermal needles are used along lines around the mouth, eyes and forehead. After a short period of rest, the facial needles are removed. To finish, a bespoke aromatherapy oil blend is applied to the face for a soothing massage. Sunny only uses high quality, non-toxic, natural and organic skincare from companies such as Neal’s Yard.

How will I feel after a treatment? You will feel very relaxed. It is best to avoid applying makeup after this treatment and to book the treatment on a day when you don’t have anything much planned as your skin may be flushed due to increased circulation and blood flow to the skin.

How long does a facial acupuncture treatment last? Your initial treatment is 90 minutes to allow for a consultation. Follow up appointments are either 1 hour long without a facial massage, or 90 minutes with a relaxing and bespoke aromatherapy facial massage.

How much does facial acupuncture cost? £95 for 90 minutes, £65 for 60 minutes. A block booking discount is available for ten treatments (booked weekly).

Why do I need a consultation? Your initial treatment includes a consultation looking into medical history and aspects of lifestyle which may be influencing your current condition. This not only ensures that the treatment is suitable for you but that positive effects can be maintained.

How can I book a treatment? Please contact Sunny to book a treatment via phone, text or email. For 90 minute treatments she will need to find a suitable slot for you.
